ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to provide marine engineering expertise, capable of offering management and support at all stages of the design process for various vessel types, from initial concept development through to vessel delivery.

Candidates should be able to take a lead role in such projects and have the ability to enhance the company’s strengths in at least two core areas. They should have proven experience when it comes to working closely with demanding customers and should already have a professional standing within the industry.

The successful Candidate will be based in either our UK or Greek office, but will also be required to travel worldwide based on projects requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take a lead role in machinery, electrical and auxiliary systems design

• Develop specifications for vessels of varying types

• Communicate effectively with Class and Flag authorities

• Implement design developments for energy optimisation, industry decarbonisation, etc.

• Participate in design review meetings

• Ensure projects and scopes are carried out in accordance with client requirements

QUALIFICATIONS - Requirements

• Master’s level degree or equivalent qualification in marine engineering or similar from a major, recognised university.

• At least 10 years of similar, technically related work experience within relevant organisations.

• Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proficiency with design software and office tools.

• Comfortable working within a multi-disciplinary team environment performing multiple tasks with critical concurrent deadlines.

• Able to anticipate, identify and take action on potential issues and problems.

• Ability to handle clients' requests in a professional and friendly manner.

• Knowledge of concept and prototype design.

• Ideally, experienced and passionate about vessel design and the maritime industry.
